I was excited to try out the Rodan + Fields Active Hydration Serum, as my skin got a little drier recently due to spending a lot of time indoors with air-conditioning. Therefore I decided I needed to incorporate HA-laced products into my daily skin-care routine asap.


It is an oil-free face serum delivers all-day hydration and boosts the performance of products layered on top. It raises skin’s hydration level by 200% after just one use and maintains continuous hydration for eight hours,* transforming dry skin into younger-looking, younger-acting skin. It also balances moisture levels and preps skin to better receive products applied after.


First of all, you the packaging is all fancy and stunning, has a minimalist and clean design, really feels great to have it in your hand, makes you want to try the serum on immediately.


The first time I used it I applied it before going to bed. The next morning my skin felt refreshed! I was quite amazed with the results. I mean that is exactly what you expect from a hydration serum, but still I was happy to be surprised. It gave my skin the moisture & glow I was hoping for. I use it during the day as I realized it's a great makeup primer, haven't noticed any streaking, feels good on my skin.


The package is Love the twist cap! You can never overdose or waste as the serum dosage is very precise. And honestly 2 drops is truly enough - I never use a whole dropper.



Overall experience I think the serum is great, effective and carefully formulated. I enjoy using it.
