I get these moments sometimes when I start to lack inspiration - when the content I create, which is usually so full of meaning, starts to feel a little off, like something’s missing. That’s usually my cue, that's when I know I need to step away, go outside, travel a little, and search for inspiration in new places.
Recently, I had the opportunity of collaborating with Airbnb and experiencing a dreamy treehouse tucked deep in the Squamish Valley forest, and it turned out to be one of the most magical getaways I’ve had in a long time. Honestly, I’m not even sure words can fully capture how special this was, but I’m going to try anyway :)
This dreamy treehouse in the beautiful Squamish Valley forest, it’s so much more than just a place to stay - it’s a full-on experience. Surrounded by tall trees and the soothing sounds of the nearby river, it feels wonderfully secluded in the best way possible. It's private, peaceful, and safe. From the moment I arrived, I felt like I had stepped into a hidden little retreat where time slows down and everything just feels calm and right.

The home itself is stunning - cute and elegant, yet totally grounded in its natural surroundings. You can tell that every little detail was thoughtfully curated. Even the plates and mugs in the kitchen are handcrafted by local artist Liz Sax Ceramics, which added such a special touch. There’s an artistry to this space that you can feel the moment you walk in.

One of my favourite features was the beautiful deck with large chairs - perfect for sitting in the evening to enjoy the sounds of the river, watch the sunset or sunrise, and maybe even catch a glimpse of some local wildlife, I had one little squirrel as company, just the right amount of wild. Anything bigger, like a bear, would’ve been way over my solo stay comfort level, haha!

I spent the whole afternoon out there, soaking in the fresh air, sipping tea, and listening to the river in the background. For dinner I made myself a homemade a salmon burger on the BBQ and later, with a warm mug in hand, I sat on the patio sketching on my iPad as the sun began to set.
What made this stay truly unforgettable was how recharged I felt afterward. I came back refreshed, full of new ideas, and deeply inspired. There’s something about unplugging from everyday chaos and immersing yourself in a place that’s been crafted with love and care - it makes space for creativity to flow again.

Whether you’re an artist, a nature lover, or simply someone who needs a moment of stillness, I can’t recommend this treehouse enough. It’s the perfect place to unwind, reconnect, and experience the quiet magic of treehouse living.
